His Beatitude, Metropolitan THEODOSIUS has been informed by the Chancellor of the Metropolitan Council of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia that His Beatitude DOROTHEOS, Archbishop of Prague and Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia reposed on December 30, 1999.

Metropolitan DOROTHEOS was 86 and since 1964 was the leader of the Orthodox Church in Czechoslovakia (later the Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia).

A cause of death and funeral arrangements have not been announced.
