His Grace Ieronymos Bishop of Bukoba was born on 18th March 1963 in Bulopa, Busoga, Uganda. He studied Theology at the University of Athens (1986-1991). He also did post-graduate studies in Canon Law at the University of Athens (1992-1996). He was ordained Deacon and Priest in 1996. He served as Vicar General in the Holy Archdiocese of Kampala (1996-1997) and as Vicar General of the Diocese of Bukoba (1997-1999). He was elected Bishop of Bukoba on 23rd November 1999.
