Fr. Ignatios Sennis, who has been in Calcutta, India, since 1991, was elected to become His Grace Ignatios, Bishop of Madagascar. Fr. Ignatios helped establish "The Philanthropic Society of the Orthodox Church in India," as an arm of the Church that responds to the extreme physical needs of a people in desperate circumstances in India. He has been serving in the mission field for over 14 years.
