Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Paphos

Metropolitan Chrysostomos was born of April 10, 1941, in the village of Tala, near Paphos.

After the completion of middle school, he became a novice of the Monastery of St. Neophytos in. In 1963, he completed second school in the city of Paphos. On November 3 of that same year, he was ordained a deacon.

From 1968 until 1972, he studied in Theology Faculty of the University of Athens. On October 19, 1972, he was elected as the hegumens of the Monastery of St. Neophytos. On November 12, 1972, he was ordained a presbyter and was elevated to hegumens by Archbishop Makarios III.

He was elected Metropolitan of Paphos on February 25, 1978. His episcopal consecration on February 26, 1978.

His name day is November 13.
