Bishop of Militoupolis died in Athens

Bishop Timotheos of Militoupolis died in his sleep on 20 January in Paleo Faliro near Athens. For 21 years and up until recently he served at the Greek Orthodox cathedral of Saint Sophia in Bayswater. Bishop Timotheos came to England in 1957 as a priest at Saint Andrews church, Kentish Town. In 1977 he was ordained as Bishop of Militoupolis and returned to Greece after his retirement, a year ago.
